The Odyssey follows Odysseus, Greek hero of the Trojan War, on his ten-year journey home to his wife Penelope and his son Telemachus in Ithaca. Odysseus meets with gods and monsters, is waylaid at every turn, and never loses sight of his goal of returning home. The Odyssey also follows Telemachus’ search for his father, and his coming-of-age struggle.
