Wake Butterfly features two women: In Montreal, Laura has led a protected but demanding life. A rebel to the core, she makes choices that lead her in a downward spiral, until she reaches rock bottom. In Bombay's red light district, a girl is living as a prostitute in a brothel, finally rescued, only to be abused by her rescuer. Both these women end up in a place between life and death. As they spend time with each other, their inner worlds collide and they struggle to make the hardest decision of their lives. Wake, Butterfly is a stirring and fast-paced play that uses storytelling, theatre and dance in a creatively designed and intimate setting.
